About Goŋ-Ḏäl Aboriginal Corporation
GDAC staff, directors and families celebrating at our 2023 Christmas Party
Goŋ-Däl Aboriginal Corporation was established in 2014 by Yolŋu Leaders from Gapuwiyak and surrounding Homelands as a not-for-profit social enterprise and charity for the benefit of all Yolŋu clans living in our Miyarrka region of East Arnhem Land.
Goŋ means hand and Däl means strong, firm and steady. Goŋ-Däl was the familiar name of a leader and a law man of the highest authority, who worked tirelessly throughout his life to unify Yolŋu clans and for self-determination. Our corporation is inspired by his vision, work, skills and leadership.
